Teal Breeze Blocks at the Canadian Country Music Awards: An Okanagan Beach Bar Build

Teal Breeze Blocks at the Canadian Country Music Awards: An Okanagan Beach Bar Build

When ESA Cocktails needed a bar structure for their activation at the 2025 Canadian Country Music Awards in Kelowna, BC, the team at Together Creative Event Production turned to breeze blocks for the build.

Thirty-six Large Square-on-Square breeze blocks, painted in a bold teal finish formed the base of a freestanding outdoor bar on the shore of Okanagan Lake. Flanked by palms, cacti, and pink accents, the installation leaned fully into a retro-tropical aesthetic that felt completely at home against the BC interior's mountains and summer sky.

This project also demonstrates the versatility of breeze block as a building material. The bar was temporary, built for a single event, assembled and disassembled by an event production team without specialized masonry skills. Since our blocks accept paint readily, it allows designers and builders to match any colour palette or brand identity.

For event designers, brand activation teams, and anyone planning a temporary outdoor structure, breeze blocks offer something most materials don't: genuine architectural presence without permanent installation.
